Guardian Home Responsibilities:
- Provides a safe, loving and permanent home for the dog
- Keeps dog up to date on all necessary vaccinations and veterinary care
- Provides proper nutrition, exercise, and mental stimulation to maintain the dog's overall health
- Ensures the dog receives regular grooming and is kept in great condition
- Keeps dog readily available for breedings.For males, we usually have some notice, but it can sometimes be very short notice as occasionally last-minute breedings occur. For females, we usually will know further in advance based on their cycles. Guardian home must communicate when a female comes into season. Females will come to the our home a few days before whelping, and stay with us until their puppies are about 7 to 7.5 weeks old.
Destination Doodles Responsibilities:
- Provides a free top-quality, hand selected puppy/dog
- Pays for all breeding expenses including genetic and health testing
- Pays monetary compensation to guardian home per breeding/litter (this helps go toward food, grooming, etc.)
- Pays for spay/neuter of dog when it retires from breeding
- We work a a team! We value our amazing guardian families and have great relationships with them and love to be in contact to support and help in anyway.
